The Indonesian Journal of Earth Sciences presents Volume 5, Number 2, featuring five scholarly articles authored by 21 contributors from three countries—Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Indonesia, and Nigeria. Covering the July–December 2025 period, this issue reflects the journal’s commitment to advancing research in earth and environmental sciences.

The articles in this issue address seasonal variation of tropospheric air pollutants over Nigeria, sea surface salinity prediction from Landsat 8 OLI imagery in the Bangka Strait, near-surface temperature forecasting with an LSTM neural network, optimization of asphalt production parameters at an asphalt mixing plant in West Sumbawa, and the relationship between resistivity and seawater moisture content in the loose sands of the Yogyakarta coastal area.

We invite geographers, earth scientists, environmental researchers, and practitioners to explore these studies, which provide insights and practical knowledge for understanding the processes shaping our planet.
